Katie grew up in Shropshire but escaped to the urban wonderland of Manchester at the tender age of 17. After a few years, a French degree and her first proper job, she went to Manchester School of Art and studied a Fine Art foundation course, winning the drawing prize (see the results here). She then moved to Liverpool to see what else the North West had to offer.

Katie works with printing, plaster and textiles, experimenting with processes, natural forms and the unexpected. She is a member of Re-View Textile, writes and Tweets for the Bluecoat Print Studios and on rare occasions plays the violin.
